| The 2002
Community Corporate Cup is all over except for the
announcement of the winners.
Griffin
Hospital was once again the name sponsor for this
12th annual event, which is designed to
improve fitness and quality of life while building
company morale and showing community support.
Co-hosted by Valley United Way
and the
Valley YMCA, the event features a variety of
events anchored by the Healthy Team competition.
Healthy Team members were pre-screened for a variety of
health indicators at Griffin Hospital and then spent
the next three months participating in a variety of
healthy activities before returning to Griffin for a
post-event evaluation. Free healthy meals were also
offered during the course of the event.
Other events in the series
included volleyball, darts, bowling, horseshoes,
miniature golf, billiards and a 2K walk. Event venues
were all across the Valley. Special events included the
Healthy Meal Series
and the Stress Reduction
Series which was held every Wednesday
evening from February 27 to May 23 at Griffin Hospital. The event will conclude with an Awards
Reception at Griffin on June 17. |
