Bonus Points

During the course of the Healthy Team competition, there are many opportunities to earn (or lose) bonus points that accumulate in the overall scoring of the event. Check the following tables to see how you can enhance your scores.

Exercise
+10	Awarded to participants who exercise (30 minute minimum) 36 times or more during 12 week Healthy Team Period.
+8	Awarded to participants who exercise (30 minute minimum) 30 - 35 times during 12 week Healthy Team Period.
+5	Awarded to participants who exercise (30 minute minimum) 24 - 29 times during 12 week Healthy Team Period.
-10	Deducted from participants who do not submit exercise diaries
-10	Deducted from participants who do not submit food diaries

Healthy Meals
+10	Awarded to participants who attend all three Healthy Meals hosted by Griffin Hospital
+7	Awarded to participants who attend two Healthy Meals hosted by Griffin Hospital
+4	Awarded to participants who attend one Healthy Meal hosted by Griffin Hospital
-5	Deducted from participants who do not attend any Healthy Meals hosted by Griffin Hospital

Healthy Behaviors
+10	Awarded to smokers who quit and remain smoke free from pre to post-test
+10	Awarded to participants who regularly drink alcoholic beverages who refrain from drinking from pre to post-test
+5	Awarded to non-smokers who remain smoke free from pre to post-test
+5	Awarded to participants who are non-drinkers who remain drink free from pre to post-test
+5	Awarded to participants who attend a free stress reduction class at Griffin Hospital held every Wednesday at 6:15 PM
-10	Deducted from participants who consume alcohol between pre and post-testing (Minimal wine consumption is allowed)
-10	Deducted from participants who smoke between pre and post-test

Health Screening
+5	Awarded to participants whose pre-test score is the same or better than their 2002 post-test score. (All aspects of test are included.)
+4	Awarded to participants who submit blood sugar test results between pre and post-test.
+2	Awarded to participants who submit a breast self-exam (females) or testicular self-exam (male) brochure and indicate that the self-exam was performed.

Miscellaneous
+4	Awarded to participants who submit a copy of their current valid CPR or BLS card
+4	Awarded to participants who submit a copy of their current Red Cross First Aid Certification
+1	Awarded to participants who submit a copy of their library card from the Griffin Hospital Community Health Resource Center
+1	Awarded to teams consisting of one male and one female
+2	Awarded for each each service or video/material checked out of library (maximum of three)
