Perkin Elmer Tees Up A Win in Golf

Perkin Elmer Precisely scored an eight stroke win over runner-up Tele-Media in a tightly contested Mini-Golf Tournament at The Connecticut Sports Center in Shelton. The eight stroke was more than the total stroke difference among the next four highest finishers as Tele-Media placed second, third and fourth with three of its teams as #1 had a score of 188, #2 had a 189 and #4 had 190! The Valley YMCA was not far behind as they finished three strokes behind Tele-Media #4 at 193. Calvert Safe and Lock and Curtiss-Ryan Honda tied for sixth at 197.

Perkin Elmer's winning team consisted of Brian Klembara, Neil Vegliante III, Jan Jurgielewicz IV, Danielle Hawthorne. Hawthorne's score of 42 was the team's best as all members broke 50 for the day. The best individual round for the day was turned in by Tele-Media #1's Bill Dunlop who cruised around the course taking only 41 strokes! Bill also happens to be the current Chairman of the Board at Valley United Way and is also a past president of the Valley YMCA! Dori Behuniak of Tele-Media #4 posted the most holes-in-one on the day as she had three one stroke hole.
