Orienteering is new this year. It is a competition for teams of two using a map and a compass to find their way through unfamiliar territory. This event is an excellent mental & physical challenge.

The course will take approximately 60 minutes to complete, but participants are advised that the course can be difficult and they should dress appropriately.  Scoring is based on the time taken to complete the course and accuracy in finding the destinations (controls).

This is an event for teams of two. Each team will receive a map with the course, a whistle and a compass. They should also bring a watch of their own to know when to return to the finish line if having trouble completing the course on time. The whistle is to signal for help.
