The husband/wife team of Sue & Jeff Westine came up with a dramatic victory in the third and deciding game of the championship round against Spectrum Plastics to win the Corporate Cup Horseshoes Tournament. Trailing Spetrum's Mike Kozlowski and Bob Wayman by a score of 19-9, the Westines went on a tear of ringers capped by Jeff's double ringers that gave TEAM, Inc. the title by a 21-19 score. The teams split the first two games with TEAM winning 20-8 and losing the second 20-19. That was their only loss of the entire day as they won two straight in each of the previous rounds over Perkin Elmer "B", Spectrum Plastics #2 and Perkin Elmer "A". Spectrum #1 was just as impressive as they swept Perkin Elmer "D", United Illuminating and Perkin Elmer "C" on their way to the title game.
