CDW-G made their 2008 Corporate Cup debut a winning one as their #2 team of Corey Goodman and Diahann Phillips toppled defending champions Bill Ostrum and Jim Peloquin in a tense final round. After splitting the first two games, Diahann sank her last team ball and the 8 ball to win the championship after UI had missed on a difficult chance of their own to sink the 8 ball for a win. Valley YMCA and Gordon Rubber #1 tied for third in the 27 team field.

Goodman and Phillips posted wins over Calvert Safe & Lock, TEAM Inc. #2, Griffin Hospital's Hearts of Fire and Gordon Rubber #1 on their way to the title game. United Illuminating had an opening round bye, and then defeated Curtiss Ryan #3, Birmingham Group #1, and the Valley YMCA before relinquishing their title to CDW-G.

The win was extra special for CDW-G as it marked the first event that they have won since beginning competition in 2005.
