Rape Crisis Center Of Milford - Peggy Pisano

Our agency works hard to eliminate sexual assault though risk and violence prevention education and empowering victims to regain control of their lives through counseling and advocacy. Our main focus is to assist victims and families of sexual assault. We work with the Valley police departments, Griffin Hospital, and the court system to help legally, medically and mentally. Our secondary focus is community education. Through prevention tactics we provide educational services, free of charge, to students from pre-K to high school.

Funding provided by the Valley United Way is divided equally between our victim services and education. It also goes to run our 24/7 hotline a confidential crisis hotline for victims and their families to receive short term counseling by professionals trained in crisis intervention techniques. (203) 878-1212.

We make a difference in our community by assisting victims of sexual assault to regain control of their lives. We are with them every step of the way by meeting them the night it happened at the hospital, assisting with the collection of evidence and physical examination, staying by their side through the police investigation and process and providing long term counseling.
