CVC Elects Co-Chairs for 2008

The Corporate Volunteer Council has elected Dotty
Cacchillo and Renee Bergen as co-chairs for 2008 to succeed Adrienne Cabral
and Bill Bubbico who have done a terrific job as co-chairs for the last two
years.
Renee is an Executive Assistant at Cara
Therapeutics. The company is new to the area moving from Tarrytown, NY to
Shelton. She started with the company in August of 2007 and joined the CVC
soon after after learning of the good work of the Council from Linda Hvizdo of
Homewood Suites. After attending one meeting and meeting with Pat Tarasovic
she decided to become further involved and is looking forward to
working with everyone on the council and contributing towards helping
people in the community.
Cara Therapeutics is an emerging biotechnology
company focused on developing novel therapeutics to treat human diseases
associated with pain and inflammation.
Dottiy is the Personnel Manager at the Wal*Mart Store in Derby, and has
been with Wal*Mart for ten years. She has been involved with the CVC for
five years and said, “Being involved in our community is a critical
piece of our culture. Sharing a strong bond in our community is a constant
driving force at Wal*Mart." She noted that Brian West and the entire
Marketing Team at Wal*Mart are very supportive of Dotty in her new
leadership role with the CVC.
Dotty resides in the Valley with her husband Robert and her two children
Sarah and David and her step children Robert and Daniel.
Pat Tarasovic said that, “Dotty and Renee both joined the CVC with so
much enthusiasm and a great desire to do good for the community. Their
natural spirit is contagious allowing them to engage others to join along
with their efforts. The will make another great team in leading the CVC.”
