Monday, and the work begins. Work crews from United Illuminating arrived first, but reinforcements from Pitney Bowes Information Based Systems and Rifkin Travel filled the shelter until 9:00 pm and a new look Shelter began to emerge as new layers of paint appeared on well used walls and a weed choked landscaped got some needed pruning on the way to the new look to come. Join us daily as we chronicle the work of dozens of volunteers pouring their own sweat equity into providing a welcoming home for victims of domestic violence. Food for the evening was provided by Dave Grant Caterers. T-shirts were provided for all workers by Iroquois Gas Transmission Systems. Follow all the pictures from a busy day.
