Candidates for the title of  "Great Pumpkin"

The talented and creative folks at Tele-Media took a lunch break to celebrate Halloween and hold their United Way campaign rally at the same time. There were no tricks associated with the event as the community was treated to the great civic spirit that Tele-Media is known for throughout the year.

And the costumes were creative!

The committee pictured to the left planned a fun day for all employees as they arranged for a festive meal and fun activities. Employees showed up for the rally in costumes ranging from witches and vampires to the creature from the Blue Lagoon. Even Don Zimmer was spotted with the infamous foul ball still attached to his head!

TeleMedia Executives Bill Dunlop and Vince Caramenello addressed the group as did Harry Rosenberg of Big Brothers / Big Sisters and United Way Executive Director Jack Walsh.

Walsh and UW Camapaign Exec. Kate Cosgrove had the unenviable task of judging the pumpkin decorating contest as well as the costume contest.

Employees used the occasion to learn more about United Way and to fill in their pledge cards for this years campaign. As always, they went above the call of duty and also conducted a candy drive. The bags of candy were then delivered to the Ansonia Community Action Center which was recently renovated during United Way's Week of Caring.
