United Illuminating Electrifies Campaign

Always a major supporter of Valley United Way, United Illuminating held their campaign rally on the morning after the United Way kickoff with two breakfast presentations in Shelton. United Illuminating is turning 100 this year and they continue to be a corporate leader in supporting the community.

Nat Woodson, President and CEO of UI, emphasized United Illuminating's support of the communities where they are located and United Way Executive Director Jack Walsh praised them for what they have done for United Way. He noted that, "UI and its employees support the Valley community on a year round basis not only through their campaign efforts, but also the volunteer hours that the employees put into our community." He singled out their leadership of the Corporate Volunteer Council and their work at the Week of Caring Project held recently.
