Rhodia Achieves 100% Participation through Preferred Parking!?!

How would you like to have your name on a reserved parking space right outside the office door? Well, Rhodia Inc. offered their employees an opportunity to win a chance at a drawing for one of three reserved parking spaces by INVESTING in a Caring Community campaign. That’s right, either by increasing their United Way payroll pledge by 10%, increasing by a $1 per pay period or becoming a first time contributor, employees were eligible to participate in the drawing. This parking space offer was so popular that it made them the second company to achieve 100% participation from employees.

 This year’s campaign coordinator, Natalie Sanzo, ensured the spirit of the campaign continued by offering some additional highlights:

Two United Way presentation rallies held on Monday 10/25 (continental breakfast) and Friday 10/29 (cider and snacks) with a Halloween theme and complete with a costume party with judging as evidenced in these photos

Employees contributing to the campaign through payroll deduction were also eligible for the grand prizes of:

Round-trip airline tickets from American Airlines; winner, Elizabeth Flaherty, Novatel Weekend; winner Anna Carlson

Avis 2-day rental; winner Stuart Parker

The committee found several games from the Halloween.com internet site that were used at the rallies including:

Pin the tail on the pumpkin and Pumpkin bingo

A visit by the Griffin Hospital Resource Van

A cookie bake sale coordinated with Rhodia’s corporate neighbor, Country Home Bakers.
