Sikorsky Gives Campain a Flying Start

Mark Ignace, Anita Desrosiers and Rich Gaudette helped to coordinate another great campaign at Sikorsky aircraft. They coordinated the efforts in Shelton.

The annual Sikorsky Aircraft Employee Charitable Sharing Campaign was a whirlwind of activity as thousands of employees in the area participated in employee rallies designed to raise $1.1 million dollars to support health and human service agencies including Valley United Way and its twenty-four partner agencies. The extensive campaign took place over a one week period and continued Sikorsky's long history of support.

Jack Walsh and Lorraine Kiliany of the Valley United Way spoke at many of the rallies. Walsh noted that, "Sikorsky employees have always been major supporters of services in the Valley, and we appreciate the chance to speak to the employees about how those dollars make a difference in the Valley."

Valley United Way wishes to thank the 1999 - 2000 Campaign Sponsors for helping to underwrite the expenses of the campaign:
