MaryAnne
Mascolo has worked in education for the past 29
years as a teacher, school counselor and building administrator in
both
Connecticut and Rhode Island. This past April MaryAnne was
appointed Superintendent of Schools in
Seymour after
serving five years as the district’s Assistant Superintendent.
MaryAnne has wasted no time in putting her leadership skills to work
to benefit not only Seymour, but the entire Valley as the head of
the Education Division in this year's United Way community campaign.
Mike Marcinek, Chairman of this year's campaign
said that, "MaryAnne will be a tremendous asset to this year's
campaign. Education is one of the strongest divisions in campaign,
and with MaryAnne's leadership, we will continue to build on the
strong relationship that exists between United Way and the education
system here in the Valley.
MaryAnne is a graduate of the UCONN Executive
Leadership Program. In addition she holds degrees from Providence College, Central Connecticut State University and Southern Connecticut State
University. She is also a graduate of
Derby
High School and is pleased
to be working in the Valley.
MaryAnne resides in Prospect with her husband,
Jack Cronan, a retired educator who presently serves as the Chairman
of the Waterbury Teachers Credit Union. |
