The Birmingham Group's Judy Dunne and Kim Kleopfer ran away with this year's Healthy Team competition as they amassed a total of 146 points which was almost 50 points more than their nearest competitors Carol and Dick Aimone of United Methodist Homes. Birmingham Group's team of Tammy Klimas and Sherri Pozarlik finished third with 90 points which was two points better than fourth place TEAM's entry of Barbara Lancet and Linda Redding. Robin Kirsche and Carl Shields of Griffin Hospital finished one point behind TEAM to round out the top five.

The contestants were pre-screened for a variety of health factors in March and then earned points for healthy behaviors prior to their returning for a post-screening in June.
