continuously until 1995. The bank, noted for its community generosity, grew
during Ken’s tenure from 5 million dollars in assets to 300 million. Currently,

Valley United Way Executive Director Jack Walsh praised the work that
Schaible has done in the community noting that the award is presented to someone
who has made an enduring contribution to multiple organizations and towns in the
Valley and that, "Ken has been a positive force in the community throughout his
life, and we are honored to have him accept the Charles Flynn Humanitarian
Award. He joins a very select group of individuals who have been role models for
positive civic leadership."
The award was presented at Valley United Way’s Annual Meeting and
Recognition Dinner on March 25, 2003 at Rapp’s Paradise Inn in Ansonia.
