Valley United Way's Corporate Volunteer Council built Harvest House IV, a unique house made of food, on Saturday, September 24. The food that went into the building will be distributed to the community. This marks the fourth time the CVC has built a house with previous efforts taking place in 2005, 2007 and 2009. It's estimated that each project involved approximately 100,000 food items that were then distributed to area food banks.

Thus year's project had a special twist as Emmett O'Brien Regional Technical School in Ansonia took on the task of designing and building the structure that was used. Click here to read about the design planning and here to read about the completion of the students' work.

The tent is up, and the students from O'Brien Tech have assembled the walls for Harvest House IV on the Shelton Riverwalk. Click here to watch a video.
