Twenty-two students from eight area high schools have been selected to participate in this year's Youth Leadership Program at Valley United Way. A welcoming reception for the students and their parents was held at Valley United Way on April 7. The students began their year of activities with a weekend team building retreat at Camp Jewell in Colebrook on April 11-13. Click here for their personal stories from the weekend.
Pat Tarasovic, Director of United Way's Volunteer Center, oversees the program along with her adult advisory committee consisting of Dave Grant, Jr., Melissa Pucci, Pat DiCaprio, Allison Shortell, and Pam Mautte.
